Neurological occupational therapy in Sydney
SIL and SDA assessments grounded in daily support needs.
Supported Independent Living and Specialist Disability Accommodation decisions require a detailed understanding of daily function, support needs, risks and the physical environment. Caitlin provides considered assessment and reporting for complex neurological referrals within her scope.
Assessment and support
What this service can involve
- Assessment of daily function, supervision and support requirements
- Consideration of overnight needs, risks and informal supports
- Review of the relationship between housing design and functional needs
- Clinical reporting linked to the person's goals and available evidence
Caitlin's approach
Caitlin distinguishes between the support a person requires and the housing features that may be needed. Recommendations are specific to the individual and avoid treating SIL or SDA as a standard pathway.
Home and community appointments are available across Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, Inner City and nearby Inner West. Telehealth or appointments outside this area may be available depending on the referral.
